TreZix, a B2B SaaS platform for export and import, has raised USD 1.2 million in seed-stage funding to enhance its product and establish a strong presence in the market. TreZix aims to bridge the technology gap in the export and import industry by providing a comprehensive end-to-end process that includes logistics, financial management, and compliance, among other features.
Trezix is the brainchild of Haresh Calcuttawala, Sunil Kharbanda and Shailesh Sapale, headquartered in Surat, and has a corporate office in Mumbai, and its teams are spread across NCR and Kerala. The platform’s vision is to digitize and streamline the export and import process, making it more efficient and profitable for businesses.
The funding comes from a joint contribution of the Government of Gujarat’s start-up grant and investments from Soha Ventures and other angel investors. Soha Ventures specializes in innovation, particularly in lab-grown diamonds, gems and jewellery, and disruptive technologies for business impact. Chirag Limbasiya, the pioneer in building new categories in the gems and jewellery space, runs the venture. Sumeet Prakash, an angel investor, is the co-founder and director of Emarson Infotech Pvt Limited, actively investing in SaaS, Fintech, and Consumer Tech companies.
TreZix aims to help its customers scale their businesses as India is expected to become a 3 trillion export-import market. By becoming tech-enabled, TreZix positions itself as the interface for exporters and importers, utilizing technology to increase business efficiency and profitability. The founders of TreZix presented the platform’s framework to the Government of Gujarat in 2020, leveraging their almost three decades of experience in the export and import industry. In 2021, the Gujarat government approved the grant and helped them acquire customers through chambers. TreZix was incorporated in January 2022, and the product was commercially launched in October 2022.
Sunil Kharbanda, Co-founder, and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at TreZix, expressed the company’s mission to offer end-to-end digital platforms for importers and exporters, streamlining documentation, data structure, controls, compliance, and predictability to bring ease and rapid growth to their businesses. The platform reduces the cost and time taken to handle EXIM processes, which is receiving great feedback from customers.
