Transrail Posts 27% Increase in Net Profit to Rs 126.57 Crore in March Quarter

Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm Transrail Lighting has announced a 27 percent rise in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 126.57 crore for the quarter ending March. This growth was supported by a significant increase in operational revenues.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 99.72 crore in the January-March period of the previous fiscal year, 2023-24. Operational revenues for the quarter rose by 40 percent to Rs 1,946.02 crore, up from Rs 1,392.41 crore in the same quarter last year.

For the entire fiscal year 2025, Transrail’s net profit grew by over 40 percent to Rs 327 crore compared to Rs 233 crore in FY24. The company’s operational revenues also climbed 30 percent to Rs 5,307.75 crore from Rs 4,076.52 crore in FY24.

Randeep Narang, Managing Director and CEO of Transrail Lighting, commented, “We concluded FY25 with strong results across all major operational metrics, including solid revenue growth, improved margins, and record order inflows. Our focus on core competencies, disciplined execution, and operational efficiencies has driven these encouraging outcomes.”

Looking ahead, Narang noted that the company is entering FY26 with a robust order book and a positive outlook for the sector, which continues to present significant opportunities. In the fourth quarter of FY25, Transrail secured new orders worth Rs 4,965 crore, bringing total order intake for the year to Rs 9,680 crore, primarily from the transmission and distribution segment.

As of March 31, the company’s unexecuted order book stood at Rs 14,551 crore, representing a 44 percent increase compared to the previous year. Headquartered in Mumbai, Transrail operates in the transmission and distribution sector, including civil construction, railways, poles, and lighting, with projects spanning 59 countries. The company has successfully completed over 200 projects in power transmission and distribution and boasts comprehensive project execution capabilities, including skilled manpower and the supply of materials, some of which are self-manufactured.
