TractorNext, an agricultural and rural technology platform focused on mechanisation and rural equipment, has been launched to help farmers, rural entrepreneurs and equipment buyers make informed purchasing decisions. The platform was unveiled by GS Grewal, President of the Tractor and Mechanization Association (TMA), at an industry gathering in Pune.
The platform aims to bring product information, comparison tools and relevant expertise together in one place. It is intended to help buyers assess equipment according to their requirements, performance, technology, operating costs and long-term value. As agricultural mechanisation develops, farmers and rural businesses have a growing range of equipment options to consider. Selecting suitable machinery can involve a substantial investment, making access to reliable information and comparisons important before a purchase.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Grewal said India had considerable scope to expand agricultural mechanisation through greater awareness, access to technology and informed equipment choices. He noted that digital platforms could help farmers compare products and identify solutions suited to their needs, with the broader objective of improving productivity, efficiency and profitability.
TractorNext also plans to support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and equipment suppliers by increasing their digital visibility and helping them reach prospective customers across regional markets. The platform intends to combine equipment discovery with local-language communication and market engagement.
Vishnu Dhas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TractorNext, said the platform was designed to simplify equipment selection for farming and rural communities. Buyers considering tractors, agricultural implements, agri-drones, bulldozers and specialised machinery need to understand the available options before making investment decisions.
Dhas said the company aims to provide information that helps buyers match equipment to their specific requirements, while giving manufacturers more effective ways to connect with customers in different regions. The launch gathering brought together representatives from agricultural machinery, equipment distribution, agri-technology and related industries. The event also featured Leader as a Coach, a book authored by Grewal that draws on his leadership experience and discusses coaching, employee empowerment and continuous learning.
TractorNext describes itself as a next-generation Agri and Rural-Tech ecosystem serving India’s farming community and wider rural economy. Its stated objective is to bridge traditional farming practices and modern technology by helping users understand equipment choices and make decisions suited to their operational needs.
The platform’s approach centres on providing information and tools that can help reduce purchasing uncertainty for farmers and rural businesses, while enabling manufacturers and suppliers to improve their reach among potential buyers. Its planned focus spans agricultural machinery and other equipment used across rural and related economic activities.
