TRACR and Sarine Technologies Forge Partnership for Advanced Diamond Traceability Solution

TRACR

Tracr™ Limited, the pioneering platform for decentralized diamond tracking, and Sarine Technologies Limited, a global leader in precision diamond technology, have entered into a strategic agreement to deliver an innovative solution for diamond traceability. The partnership will provide scalable and efficient verification services, enabling diamonds to be traced back to their origin. The solution combines the strengths of both companies: Tracr’s blockchain technology and Sarine’s advanced diamond scanning tools. This collaboration will allow diamonds to be algorithmically matched at scale from the source, increasing efficiency and reducing redundant processes.

The integration of Tracr’s platform with Sarine’s cloud will enable participants to seamlessly match diamond data through different stages of the diamond’s lifecycle, provided they opt-in to share their data. One of the main advantages of this partnership is the ability to verify a diamond’s entire journey, from rough to polished, using objective and verifiable diamond scanning data. This verification capability enhances confidence in the diamond’s provenance, giving diamond brands, consumers, and customers greater assurance.

Diamonds uploaded to the Tracr platform, including those sourced from De Beers Group, will be verified using Sarine’s scanning software, offering an additional layer of objective validation. With more than three million diamonds from De Beers already registered, the system can trace diamonds through every step, even at the customs level, facilitating smoother international border crossings in line with the G7 Diamond Protocol.

This new traceability solution leverages the existing infrastructure of both companies, which is widely used in the industry. As a result, it is expected to have minimal impact on supply chains and can be rapidly scaled to meet industry needs. Both companies’ matching systems will use data from various diamond scanning technologies, enhancing the solution’s efficiency and scalability while simplifying the verification process.

Wesley Tucker, CEO of Tracr, commented: “This partnership represents a significant advancement in diamond traceability and provenance assurance. By combining our blockchain capabilities with Sarine’s precision technology, we are delivering a scalable, cost-effective solution that addresses both evolving consumer demands and emerging regulatory requirements. It has been a pleasure collaborating with Sarine to create this innovative and practical solution.”

David Block, CEO of Sarine Technologies, added: “We are confident that this partnership will significantly improve the ability to trace diamonds back to their source, offering more transparency and boosting consumer trust. Working with Tracr has been an exciting opportunity, and we look forward to helping our customers adopt these new capabilities.”
