Optiemus Electronics Ltd has announced a partnership with global electronics brand TP-Link to produce its networking devices and smart home products in India. This strategic alliance aims to meet the growing demand for connected devices in India while also positioning Made-in-India electronics for export markets.
In a joint statement, the companies emphasized that the collaboration supports TP-Link’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and strengthens India’s role as a global hub for telecom and electronics manufacturing. As part of the partnership, Optiemus Electronics will produce a range of telecom and IoT products, including GPON (ONT), security and surveillance cameras, home Wi-Fi routers, enterprise routers, modems, gateways, SOHO switches, and other network expansion devices.
These products will be manufactured at Optiemus’ facility, which has the capacity to produce up to 6 million devices annually. The partnership also aims to develop products for export markets, while Optiemus will focus on building a local supply chain to support the production of power adapters, mechanical parts, and other components for TP-Link. This collaboration is expected to reduce import reliance and offer better control over the supply chain, the companies stated.
