TP-Link, a global leader in networking solutions, has significantly expanded its operations in India with the launch of a new incubation centre and plans for a dedicated research and development facility. The incubation centre, unveiled alongside the company’s new Mumbai headquarters, aims to foster innovation, offer training for partners, and showcase enterprise-grade technologies.

The new Mumbai facility was inaugurated by Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Maharashtra’s Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Speaking at the event, he praised TP-Link’s efforts in promoting skill development and advancing digital infrastructure in India.

In a further move to enhance its local presence, TP-Link is establishing a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru. This centre will focus on R&D across key areas such as firmware development, AI/ML integration, and next-generation networking solutions. The GCC will also support the company’s enterprise segment through its Omada brand.

TP-Link also plans to widen its service network, especially across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, with a target of opening 20 new service centres within a year. This expansion will significantly strengthen the company’s after-sales support capabilities.

As part of its growth strategy, TP-Link will also increase its India workforce by 30% over the next year to support scaling operations and continued product innovation. The new incubation centre will serve as a collaborative platform for students, startups, and developers. It is designed to offer hands-on experience, mentorship, and resources to foster the next generation of technology leaders.

TP-Link India’s CEO and Managing Director, Sanjay Sehgal, emphasized the broader vision behind the initiative: “This centre is a launchpad for innovation and collaboration. We’re investing in future talent and laying the foundation for a more connected and empowered India.”

The Mumbai facility spans over 20,000 square feet with space for more than 150 personnel. TP-Link currently maintains offices in 10 Indian cities, with plans for continued growth nationwide. TP-Link Systems Inc is a globally respected name in the networking and connectivity space, known for delivering a comprehensive portfolio of products including routers, switches, smart home devices, and security cameras.

Through its enterprise-focused brand, Omada, the company also provides advanced networking solutions for businesses. Recognized by IDC as the world’s top supplier of Wi-Fi devices, TP-Link products reach users in over 170 countries, supporting billions of connections. With a focus on performance, reliability, and forward-thinking innovation, TP-Link India plays a key role in strengthening digital infrastructure for homes and enterprises across the globe.
