Toyota Kirloskar Motor Strengthens Healthcare Infrastructure at CHC Bidkin, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has completed a healthcare infrastructure enhancement initiative at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Bidkin, Paithan Block, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District, Maharashtra, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focus on Health and Hygiene. Through this initiative, TKM has supplied and installed essential medical equipment at CHC Bidkin, strengthening the facility’s ability to provide improved diagnostic, surgical, maternal and emergency healthcare services. The intervention is expected to benefit more than 70,000 community members across Paithan Block by improving access to quality healthcare closer to their homes.

Paithan Block caters to a population of approximately 3.8 lakh people through a network of government healthcare facilities. With increasing demand for maternal and child healthcare, emergency medical support and primary healthcare services, strengthening the capabilities of public health centres has become essential to improving healthcare outcomes in the region.

Recognizing these needs, TKM supported CHC Bidkin with a range of advanced medical equipment, including a Dental X-Ray with RVG, Hematology Instrument, Surgical Instrument Set, MTP Set, Hysterectomy Set, Tubal Ligation (Minilap) Set, Obstetric Labour Table, Shadowless Lamp, Diathermy Machine, Defibrillator, Suction Machine, Multipara Monitor, Wheelchair, Stretcher Trolley, Battery-operated Otoscope and Hydraulic OT Table.

The newly installed equipment has been selected to enhance clinical capabilities at the facility by improving diagnostic accuracy, strengthening maternal and surgical care services and supporting faster emergency response. The initiative is expected to contribute to better treatment outcomes, improved healthcare accessibility and enhanced service delivery for communities in Paithan Block. The formal handover ceremony was held on July 24, 2026, with ARamesh Rao, Vice President, and Roshan R, General Manager, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, officially handing over the medical equipment to CHC Bidkin authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shaheen, Medical Officer, CHC Bidkin, said, “We deeply appreciate Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in our region. The medical equipment supplied will significantly enhance our diagnostic and treatment capabilities, particularly in maternal and emergency care. This support strengthens our ability to serve the population across Paithan Block and deliver quality healthcare services to our community.”

Vikram Gulati, Country Head & Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “Healthcare accessibility is fundamental to community well-being and social progress. Our initiative at CHC Bidkin reflects our belief that quality healthcare infrastructure must reach rural communities. By strengthening public health facilities, we aim to contribute to improved maternal and child health outcomes and create sustainable healthcare solutions that benefit communities for years to come.”

The initiative aligns with TKM’s broader CSR strategy focused on health, hygiene and community development. By supporting government healthcare facilities with need-based interventions, the company continues to contribute toward improving healthcare delivery, reducing health disparities and enhancing quality of life in rural and underserved regions.
