Japanese sanitaryware manufacturer TOTO is poised to reinforce its presence in India’s Tier-II and Tier-III cities, capitalizing on the opportunities presented by rapid urbanization, rising disposable incomes, and a growing awareness of hygiene and wellness, according to a senior company representative. TOTO India, which has been manufacturing a diverse range of products for a decade at its Halol facility in Gujarat, is gearing up to broaden its distribution network by adding 40 new channel partners in 2024.
“India is a pivotal market for TOTO, and we are enthusiastic about the vast growth opportunities it presents,” stated Shiozawa Kazuyuki, Managing Director of TOTO India Industries Pvt Ltd, in a recent announcement. Kazuyuki highlighted that the surge in urbanization, coupled with increasing disposable incomes and heightened awareness of hygiene and wellness, is fueling the demand for high-end bathroom solutions.
“Our goal is to deepen our market penetration in Tier-II and Tier-III cities by expanding our dealer network and offering a more extensive range of products that cater to the varied preferences of Indian consumers,” he added.
To bolster its regional footprint, TOTO India is set to amplify its dealership network through its Authorized Channel Partner (ACP) and Authorized Channel Dealer (ACD) initiatives. The company also announced plans to introduce a new collection of products, including an array of toilets, basins, faucets, and showers, all designed to align with the evolving tastes and preferences of Indian consumers.
With these strategic initiatives, TOTO is determined to firmly establish itself as a dominant leader in the Indian market for premium bathroom solutions.
