TotalEnergies Marketing India Private Limited (TEMIPL) has introduced an upgraded line of its Quartz car engine oils in the Indian market, aligned with the latest API SQ and ILSAC GF-7 performance benchmarks. These new-generation lubricants are crafted to boost fuel economy, enhance engine durability, and optimize overall vehicle efficiency. The launch features three advanced variants—Quartz 9000 Xtra Future XT 0W-16, Quartz 9000 Future GF-7 0W-20, and Quartz 7000 Future GF-7 5W-30.
Designed for today’s complex engine architectures—including turbocharged and gasoline direct injection systems—these oils provide superior performance even under high pressure and temperature. They are also compatible with older engine models, making them a versatile choice for vehicle owners and service professionals alike.
According to industry tests, the new formulations deliver 40% greater protection against low-speed pre-ignition, 20% better timing chain durability, and a 7% improvement in piston cleanliness. These advancements contribute to increased engine life, fewer maintenance visits, and lower long-term repair costs.
Fuel efficiency is another key highlight. The Quartz range demonstrates up to 16% higher fuel savings compared to the baseline in the ILSAC GF-7 Fuel Economy Improvement Test. Additionally, the improved formulation helps reduce engine deposits and emissions, supporting compliance with stricter environmental standards.
Viken Najarian, CEO of TEMIPL’s Lubricants Division, stated, “This launch marks an important milestone for our India operations. By introducing the GF-7 certified Quartz range, we are reaffirming our dedication to innovation and premium performance. These oils are produced locally at our Indian facility, ensuring easy access and consistent global quality for our customers.”
