Time Technoplast Ltd has received international certification from Bureau Veritas Services SAS, France, for its 150-litre Type IV fully wrapped, fibre-reinforced, refillable composite hydrogen cylinder. With this milestone, the company becomes the only Indian manufacturer to hold approvals from both the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) and a globally recognized certifying authority for this class of product.

This dual certification enhances Time Technoplast’s standing in the fast-expanding hydrogen storage market and supports India’s broader green energy and export initiatives. The approval follows nearly four years of internal development, rigorous testing, and sustained research and development, fully funded through internal resources.

The certified hydrogen cylinder is engineered to meet the demands of future-ready energy applications, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation and safety in clean energy storage solutions. The development aligns with national priorities such as the “Make in India” programme and the country’s hydrogen economy roadmap.

According to projections referenced from GlobeNewswire, the global market for composite hydrogen cylinders is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 13.2%, rising from USD 1.125 billion in 2024 to an estimated USD 4.4 billion by 2036. This positions Time Technoplast to tap into significant global demand over the coming decade.

The company emphasized that this achievement reflects the robustness and reliability of its composite technology and extends its product capabilities within the clean energy sector. The certification not only strengthens its product portfolio but also enables it to contribute meaningfully to both domestic and international energy storage needs.
