TIL Limited, a Kolkata-based manufacturer of heavy equipment, has completed production of its 400th Hyster-TIL ReachStacker at its Kharagpur facility. This milestone comes 14 years after the company first began assembling ReachStackers in 2010.
Production has grown steadily since the initial three units built in the first year. Between 2016 and 2019, output exceeded 50 units annually, and the company now aims to surpass that figure again in the coming financial year.
The 400th unit, a Hyster-TIL RS46-33 model, has a lifting capacity of 46 tonnes. According to Pinaki Niyogy, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at TIL, the model features a redesigned cabin offering improved visibility, integrated IoT support for real-time system monitoring, and an ECO-mode for better fuel efficiency.
Other updates to the model include enhanced ergonomics, smart diagnostics, and real-time performance tracking. Each unit undergoes rigorous testing, including GPS-based brake performance checks and full load assessments. TIL has also shipped more than 40 ReachStackers to international customers, including buyers in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
