Tiger Logistics (India) Limited has successfully delivered a series of large-scale shipments under its renewable energy division, TiGreen, moving nearly 2 GW worth of equipment in one major assignment. These projects cater to India’s increasing domestic solar module manufacturing, fueled by the nation’s growing focus on clean energy and energy independence.
As demand for high-capacity, time-sensitive logistics solutions grows in the solar sector, TiGreen has managed shipments involving up to 200 containers per batch. These covered the full transportation cycle of high-value machinery from China to Indian ports—vital for solar module production.
Key origin ports included Qinzhou, Wuhu, Shanghai, and Ningbo, with destinations at Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Hazira, and Chennai. The cargo involved diverse formats such as Flat Rack (Over-Width and Over-Height), 40’ High Cube, 20GP, and Open Top containers. Despite logistical hurdles like tight vessel availability, port delays, and equipment shortages, TiGreen ensured smooth execution through Tiger Logistics’ strong operational control over China–India routes, sector-specific experience, and collaboration with shipping partners and on-ground agents.
Harpreet Singh Malhotra, Chairman and Managing Director of Tiger Logistics, said, “Our renewable energy logistics arm, TiGreen, continues to demonstrate execution strength in critical supply chains. As India intensifies its solar transition, we are proud to contribute to this national mission through agile and efficient cross-border logistics. These projects reaffirm our leadership in this niche and our ability to deliver shareholder value through operational excellence.”
Tiger Logistics expects continued growth in this vertical, driven by rising investments in solar manufacturing, enhanced route efficiencies, and expanding project logistics demand. The company also plans to scale up its human resources and adopt advanced technology to strengthen its renewable energy logistics services.
