TiE Bangalore, in association with Chiratae Ventures and Entrust Family Office, is introducing the inaugural Family Office Summit at the TiE Global Summit 2024 in Bangalore. The summit, scheduled for December 11, 2024, aims to encourage Indian family offices to increase their investments in local startups. The event will focus on how these offices can support high-growth ventures, particularly in sectors like deep tech that require sustained capital. Recent data from PwC highlights the growth of family offices in India, which have surged from 45 in 2018 to around 300 in 2024, holding significant capital for investment. The summit seeks to provide family offices with insights and opportunities to engage in India’s vibrant startup ecosystem, with a target to boost domestic private equity investment over the next five years.

Sudhir Sethi, Founder and Chairman of Chiratae Ventures, commented, “Domestic investment in Indian startups is a $150B opportunity for family offices over the next five years. This summit provides a unique chance to participate in the growth of startups that will soon go public, creating both strong returns and sustainable economic growth aligned with India’s vision for 2047.”

The event will feature an advisory board with industry leaders such as Kris Gopalakrishnan (Co-Founder, Infosys), Prashanth Prakash (Accel), and Manish Choksi (Asian Paints). Participants will have access to keynote addresses, fireside chats, and panel discussions with leading family office founders, CEOs, and next-gen leaders.

Madan Padaki, President of TiE Bangalore and Chair of TiE Global Summit 2024, emphasized the summit’s goal to democratize access to resources for Indian entrepreneurs. “The Family Office Summit will recognize family offices supporting Indian startups and inspire others to follow suit. By aligning with India’s goal of becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, we aim to foster a robust ecosystem driven by domestic capital,” he added.

The summit will be part of the larger TiE Global Summit 2024, attracting over 15,000 delegates, including 5,000+ startups, 750+ investors, and 5,000 Futurepreneurs. It will be a key gathering for global entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and collaboration to build India’s leading startup ecosystem.
