In anticipation of the TiE Global Summit 2024, an engaging industry dialogue took place, bringing together leading venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and industry experts. The summit, scheduled for December 9–11 in Bengaluru and December 12 in Mysuru, is organized by TiE Bangalore in partnership with the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), and supported by the Government of Karnataka, MeitY, MeitY Startup Hub, India AI Mission, and STPI.
This year’s event showcases major programs like TGS100, spotlighting 100 innovative early-stage startups across sectors like AI, SaaS, healthcare, and climate tech. Selected startups will compete for equity-free prizes totaling ₹50 lakh, with winners pitching to a jury of prominent investors including Sudhir Sethi (Chiratae Ventures) and Vani Kola (Kalaari Ventures). From 1,310 applicants across 17 countries, 90% of the chosen startups hail from India, underscoring the nation’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape.
The TiE Women Global Pitch Competition will also feature prominently, with 43 women-led startups from 62 countries competing for a $50,000 prize pool. This initiative underscores TiE’s commitment to gender diversity and women’s empowerment in business.
The summit will host over 10,000 attendees, including 4,000 entrepreneurs, 1,000 angel investors, 250 thought leaders, and delegations from countries such as Japan, Denmark, and Israel. It will feature 40+ sessions covering topics like AI, sustainability, and inclusive entrepreneurship.
Esteemed speakers include tennis icon Andre Agassi, wellness expert Dr Deepak Chopra, Babson College President Stephen Spinelli, and cultural figures like Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur, all sharing insights on leadership and innovation. “TiE Global Summit 2024 is a transformative platform that brings together the best minds in entrepreneurship and innovation,” said Madan Padaki, President of TiE Bangalore. “It’s where bold ideas meet actionable insights to shape the future.” Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, CEO of KDEM, added,
