Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES), a subsidiary of Thermax, has secured a Rs. 513 crore order from a major industrial conglomerate. The project involves setting up a 600 MW greenfield energy project in Botswana, Southern Africa.
TBWES will provide two 550 TPH CFBC boilers over 23 months for the project’s first phase, a 300 MW power station. They will handle design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply, and performance testing. The power generated will be sold to Botswana’s national utility to meet the country’s growing energy needs.
