Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has announced a strategic collaboration with The Warehouse Group (TWG) to accelerate the retailer’s digital transformation journey. As part of the engagement, TCS will focus on technology modernisation and platform consolidation, helping TWG maximise returns from its existing investments across the retail value chain. The initiative will also strengthen operational efficiency, improve performance, and build scalable services to support the Group’s long-term growth.
Leveraging its expertise in retail technology, data, and AI, TCS will help TWG simplify its IT landscape, reduce costs, and unlock new value. The program also includes workforce enablement initiatives to equip TWG employees with digital and AI skills for the future.
Mark Stirton, Group Chief Executive Officer, The Warehouse Group, said “Over the past year we have focused on reducing costs, and this partnership takes us a step further. TCS will help us build on current initiatives, enabling greater value from the technology investments we’ve already made. The program is expected to cut licence and managed services costs by up to $40 million over five years, freeing up our technology teams to concentrate on delivering better outcomes for customers, communities, and shareholders.”
Girish Ramachandran, President – Growth Markets, TCS, added “We are honoured to partner with The Warehouse Group during this critical phase of its transformation. By applying our global experience in retail technology, AI, and data, we aim to streamline TWG’s systems and build future-ready capabilities that will create lasting value.” Through this collaboration, TCS will also support TWG in reducing technical debt, standardising platforms, and improving governance with transparent reporting and service-level enhancements.
