The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) will host the 6th Research and Development 20 (RD20) conference from December 2-6, 2024, at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. RD20 is a global platform aimed at bringing together research leaders from G20 nations to collaborate on clean energy technologies with the ultimate goal of achieving carbon neutrality.
Originally hosted in Japan by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), this will be the first time TERI is organizing the RD20 conference outside Japan. Beginning in 2024, the event will alternate between G20 countries every even year, offering new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
The conference will focus on three key areas: Hydrogen, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), and Renewable Energy. It will provide a space for leaders from top research institutions across G20 countries to share insights, exchange knowledge, and explore potential partnerships to accelerate clean energy advancements.
The five-day event will feature technical sessions, leadership discussions, and workshops centered around these themes. Topics covered will include sustainable aviation fuel, biofuels, and innovations in hydrogen and renewable energy.
Additionally, a closed-door international workshop will be held to foster collaboration between member and non-member institutions in addressing clean energy challenges. The RD20 conference offers an important opportunity for global cooperation in the pursuit of carbon neutrality and the development of sustainable energy solutions.
