Texmaco Rail & Engineering Wins ₹122.31 Crore Contract for Gas-Insulated Traction Substation in Mumbai

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, part of the Adventz Group, has secured a ₹122.31 crore contract from Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited (MRVC) for the design, supply, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art gas-insulated traction substation (TSS) for the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. The project includes a 50 MVA transformer, the largest ever installed in a traction substation, and represents a major step in modernising Mumbai’s rail infrastructure. As the suburban network continues to expand to meet the demands of the city’s growing population, the new high-capacity system will enhance efficiency, reliability, and commuter experience for millions of passengers.
