Maharashtra with a good amount of manufacturing across the state took a lead by inviting Tesla to start its operations in the state after its Co-founder and CEO Elon Musk announced earlier this month about his company’s plan to enter the Indian market by 2021. Aaditya Thackeray the State Tourism Minister as well as the young Turk of the ruling party himself along with industries minister Subhash Desai held talks with Tesla officials last week and invited the global EV major to the state.
"We are firmly committed to policy building and changes for sustainable development and I personally believe that electric mobility, supported by renewable energy is the way ahead. Let's hope we can help this thought become mainstream soon," said Aaditya Thackeray taking the development to the public over Twitter.
