Teledyne DALSA, a leading division of Teledyne Technologies and a global powerhouse in machine vision, is set to unveil its new Tetra™ line scan camera family at Vision China. The Tetra cameras, built on Teledyne’s cutting-edge multiline CMOS image sensor technology, offer enhanced capabilities for a broad range of machine vision applications. This new family builds upon the success of the Linea™ series of high-performance line scan cameras.
The Tetra camera family is designed for applications where cost-efficiency is key, delivering an excellent performance-to-cost ratio. It features a 2.5 GigE Vision interface for reliable data transmission over long distances and is available in 2k, 4k, and 8k resolutions with a line rate of up to 150 kHz.
The cameras come in both monochrome and color versions, offering power consumption of under 6 watts. The monochrome models provide superior image quality with options for single monochrome or dual-line HDR mode, while the color models capture true red, green, and blue colors without the need for data interpolation. Key features such as multiple regions of interest, programmable coefficient sets, and Power over Ethernet make the Tetra cameras ideal for applications like electronics inspection, optical sorting, printed materials inspection, packaging inspection, web inspection, and general machine vision.
