Dan Walker, Vice President of Product Management, OEM cores, at Teledyne FLIR, emphasized the benefits of the Boson+ CZ 14-75, stating, “The Boson+ CZ 14-75 camera and lens are factory-designed and integrated to optimize performance and reliability. Thanks to flexible and advanced lens control electronics, industry-leading 20 milliKelvin (mK) thermal sensitivity, and US-based integration support, the Boson+ CZ 14-75 streamlines development for applications requiring high-performance infrared zoom capability.”

By conducting precise factory alignment at Teledyne FLIR, integrators receive a fully calibrated thermal zoom solution that ensures maximum performance, eliminating issues such as boresight wander and other image artifacts while zooming. The advanced lens control electronics provided by Teledyne FLIR offer thermal gradient compensation, which ensures consistent focus across the entire operating temperature range. Furthermore, the object range compensation feature maintains focus during zoom, even for nearby targets. Built-in tests (BIT) are conducted during startup, continuously, or can be manually commanded to provide real-time notifications of any potential issues, maximizing operational reliability.
