Lloyds Engineering Works Limited (LEWL) announced that its subsidiary, Techno Industries Pvt Ltd (TI), in which it holds an 88% stake, has been awarded a contract worth ₹19.58 crore by Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited. The scope of the project includes the design, production, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of escalators.
With this new order, Techno Industries’ confirmed order book now stands at ₹82.86 crore. This contract marks a significant step for TI as it looks to expand its presence in the Indian Railways segment—one of the country’s most dynamic infrastructure sectors. The award, which is located outside TI’s home base in Gujarat, reflects the company’s strategic aim to grow its footprint across regions, particularly in public sector infrastructure projects.
The contract is also in line with LEWL’s broader growth plan for Techno Industries. These include scaling up its presence in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, diversifying into industrial lifts and parking systems, targeting export markets, and expanding its motors and pumps division. With demand for vertical transportation and industrial systems on the rise, the company is well-placed to capitalize on new opportunities with robust production capabilities and execution strength.
