Taural India, a leading integrated aluminium foundry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to expand its manufacturing operations in Supa, Ahilya Nagar. The agreement was formalized at the Maharashtra Pavilion during the World Economic Forum in Davos, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and other senior officials in attendance. This partnership marks a significant step toward fostering industrial growth and boosting self-sufficiency in Tier II regions of the state.
“We are excited to announce this MoU, which involves an investment of ₹500 crore, as it marks a key milestone for Taural India’s growth in advanced manufacturing,” said Bharat Gite, Managing Director and CEO of Taural India. “The expansion of our Supa facility goes beyond increasing production capacity; it reflects our vision to decentralize industries and empower regions like Tier II and III areas.”
He further added, “Through our focused efforts, we aim to transform India’s manufacturing landscape and support Maharashtra’s goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy by fostering innovation, empowering local talent, and promoting self-reliance in essential industries.”
Taural India’s current plant in Pune spans 300,000 sq. ft. and provides end-to-end aluminium sand-casting solutions, from product design to quality control, painting, assembly, and delivery. The new Supa facility will be four times the size of the current one, enabling the company to meet growing demand from various sectors, including energy, defense, aerospace, marine, railways, and healthcare.
