Tata Technologies has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to launch the third edition of their flagship engineering hackathon, InnoVent, aimed at inspiring engineering students across India. This year’s theme, Innovating the Future of Smart Mobility, challenges students to develop innovative solutions addressing real-world mobility challenges by leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, Generative AI, IoT, Embedded Software, Cloud Computing, AR/VR, and more. Participants will have the chance to work on solutions across various areas of mobility, including AI-powered vehicles, autonomous systems, sustainable mobility, and immersive driving experiences.
InnoVent 2026 invites 3rd and 4th-year engineering students from across India, with special encouragement for women engineers and differently-abled participants. The competition will be held in three phases: initial reviews, virtual Proof of Concept (PoC) presentations, and final demonstrations. Top teams will receive support from Tata Technologies’ experts and AWS cloud technologies to scale their solutions. Winning teams will receive cash prizes totaling INR 4.5 Lakhs, paid internships at Tata Technologies, and special recognition for the most innovative physical prototypes. The deadline for project submissions is July 30, 2025.
Warren Harris, MD and CEO of Tata Technologies, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “InnoVent reflects our commitment to shaping a smarter, more sustainable future.
