Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has achieved a milestone by inaugurating a Bifacial Solar System project, generating an impressive 1040 kilowatts in collaboration with Chengmari Tea Estate. This project signifies the inaugural deployment of on-ground bifacial modules within the eastern region of India.
Situated in the region of West Bengal, this project is anticipated to produce an impressive 1.5 million units (MUs) of energy on an annual basis. Not only does this initiative hold the promise of substantial energy generation, but it also boasts the potential to curtail carbon emissions by 29,420 lakh tonnes.
To put this environmental impact into perspective, it equates to the act of planting approximately 47,000 teak trees. This project underscores the company’s commitment to renewable energy and profound positive impact it seeks to make on the environment.
