Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, showcased a range of innovative mass mobility solutions at Prawaas 4.0, a prominent biennial event focused on safe, smart, and sustainable integrated transport. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the all-new Tata Ultra EV 7M, a zero-emission electric bus designed for urban mass transit. This vehicle, along with a selection of other passenger transport solutions, underlines Tata Motors’ commitment to providing customized solutions for various transport needs.
The Tata Ultra EV 7M, with seating for 21 passengers, is designed to navigate the narrow lanes and heavy traffic of urban areas with ease. It features a 213kW electric motor paired with an IP67-rated 200kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a range of up to 160 km on a single charge.
The bus supports fast charging, allowing it to be fully recharged in just 2.5 hours. Enhanced with advanced safety features such as an electronic braking system, electronic stability control, and an Automatic Passenger Counter, the Ultra EV 7M meets high safety standards through its Intelligent Transport System (ITS). Additionally, the bus utilizes regenerative braking technology to further boost efficiency and extend its range.
