Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has received an order for 1,297 bus chassis from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). This marks Tata Motors’ third major order from UPSRTC within a year, taking the total order count to over 3,500 units.
The order for the Tata LPO 1618 chassis was secured through a competitive e-bidding process, and deliveries will be made in phases as per the agreed terms. The Tata LPO 1618 diesel bus chassis is designed specifically for intercity and long-distance routes, offering superior performance, enhanced passenger comfort, and cost efficiency.

This new order builds on the success of Tata Motors’ earlier orders, including 1,350 units secured in December 2023 and 1,000 units in October 2024.
