Tata Group to Employ 4,000 Women from Uttarakhand at Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Facilities

The Tata Group is set to hire 4,000 women from Uttarakhand to work at its manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, as confirmed by a letter from Chief Human Resource Officer Ranjan Bandopadhyay to Uttarakhand’s planning department.

The recruitment drive, spearheaded by Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd, will begin shortly. The women will be employed at Tata’s facilities in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and Kolar, Karnataka, under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NPS) and the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).

Candidates who have completed their 10th or 12th grade are eligible for the NPS programme, while those applying under NATS must have an ITI diploma in addition to these qualifications. Once selected, these women will work as shop floor technicians. The positions come with a fixed salary and additional benefits, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and other amenities.
