Tata Elxsi, a global leader in design and technology services, has partnered with DENSO Robotics Europe and AAtek to inaugurate the ‘Robotics and Automation Innovation Lab’ at Tata Elxsi’s Frankfurt office. The newly opened lab aims to revolutionize robotics automation across multiple sectors, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and food science.
Equipped to handle both proof-of-concept and full-scale development, the lab will serve as a hub for research, focusing on modular automation, accelerating product development, and enhancing maintenance solutions to meet the global demand for automation. It will also offer live demonstrations of high-precision robotic implementations in areas such as cell/tissue culture, diagnostics, and sterilized environments.
The lab will leverage AI-driven analytics to support areas like personalized medicine, automated handling of cell cultures, liquid handling, drug discovery, bioprocessing, and hospital lab automation. It will offer a full range of services, from product design and engineering to regulatory compliance support.
Designed to encourage collaboration and innovation, the lab will also engage researchers and students from the Frankfurt Innovation Center and the broader startup ecosystem in the Hessen region. The launch event saw key leaders, including Manjunath Kulkarni from Tata Elxsi, Arun Damodaran from AAtek Group, Dirk Schöffler from DENSO Robotics Europe, and Bhupendra Singh Nikhurpa from the Consulate General of India, in attendance.
