Tata Elxsi, a global leader in design and technology services, has partnered with Minespider, a blockchain-based traceability solutions provider, to launch MOBIUS+, a comprehensive platform focused on managing the entire battery lifecycle. The initiative seeks to meet the increasing demands for sustainability, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization across the battery industry.

MOBIUS+ integrates real-time data analytics, performance monitoring, and compliance tools to provide actionable insights for all players in the battery supply chain—ranging from material suppliers to recyclers. This will enhance performance tracking, improve maintenance processes, and help manage sustainability initiatives across the mobility sector.

The collaboration combines Minespider’s blockchain expertise with Tata Elxsi’s platform development capabilities, allowing for seamless compliance with global regulations, such as those in Europe and the US. Tata Elxsi will focus on delivering the solution to global markets, while taking the lead in deploying it within India.

MOBIUS+ simplifies supply chain management with its user-friendly data onboarding and integration capabilities. Vendors can effortlessly upload, manage, and ensure the accuracy of supply chain data while adhering to compliance requirements. The platform’s centralized repository serves as a secure cloud-based system, providing stakeholders with seamless access to consolidated information. This feature enables informed decision-making and enhanced collaboration across the supply chain. By centralizing data storage, MOBIUS+ streamlines operations and fosters transparency, making it easier to analyze and utilize critical information. MOBIUS+ empowers stakeholders with advanced analytics tools designed to monitor battery performance, optimize designs, and manage lifecycles effectively. These capabilities drive innovation while reducing operational inefficiencies. Additionally, the platform ensures compliance with global standards, such as the EU Battery Regulation, enabling businesses to stay ahead of evolving regulatory requirements. This proactive approach safeguards against non-compliance risks and positions companies as responsible, future-ready players in the industry. To promote interoperability, MOBIUS+ offers robust API integration, allowing seamless data exchange with third-party systems across the ecosystem. This feature enhances the platform’s adaptability and ensures a smooth flow of information. Furthermore, OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers can design customized workflows tailored to their specific needs, leveraging battery data for actionable insights. These custom analytics help maximize return on investment, enabling stakeholders to extract greater value from their operations while driving efficiency and innovation. “Our partnership with Minespider is a significant step toward innovating sustainable mobility,” said Anil Radhakrishnan, Chief Product Officer at Tata Elxsi. “With MOBIUS+, we aim to set new standards in battery lifecycle management, offering tools and insights to support a more sustainable and transparent future.”

Minespider’s CEO, Nathan Williams, added, “Our collaboration with Tata Elxsi will strengthen our blockchain-driven approach to transparency and compliance. With battery passports embedded in MOBIUS+, we’re laying the groundwork for secure, reliable data that aligns with global sustainability objectives.”

MOBIUS+ will officially launch at the Bharat Mobility Show, where both companies will showcase its capabilities in live demonstrations, highlighting its scalability for both the Indian and global markets.

Both Tata Elxsi and Minespider remain committed to continuously refining MOBIUS+ to meet future regulatory and market demands. The platform’s flexible architecture positions it for expansion beyond mobility, potentially entering sectors like logistics and energy.
