Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd, a leader in India’s electronics and semiconductor sector, has announced the appointment of KC Ang as President and Head of Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited. In this capacity, KC will report directly to Dr Randhir Thakur, CEO & MD of Tata Electronics, and lead the company’s cutting-edge AI-powered foundry operations. He will be instrumental in driving innovation, excellence, and forging strategic partnerships to establish Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing as a global powerhouse in chip production.
With more than 30 years of experience in the foundry industry, KC Ang brings expertise in fab startup, management, operations, technology transfer, and relationship management with customers, suppliers, and industry players. His international career spans across several countries, including Malaysia, Germany, the United States, and China. Prior to joining Tata Electronics, KC served as President of Asia and Chairman of China at Global Foundries, a global semiconductor leader, for over 15 years. Originally from Malaysia, KC holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Texas.
