Tata Chemicals Limited, through its community development initiative, Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD), has teamed up with the Coastal Salinity Prevention Cell (CSPC) of Tata Trusts to launch an impactful program aimed at enhancing the education system in Okhamandal. The collaboration aims to address the challenges posed by the recent transfer of several government teachers.

To bridge this gap and ensure the continuity of education for children in the region, the program focuses on identifying and training enthusiastic youth from the local community in modern teaching methodologies, pedagogy, and classroom management. This initiative ensures that learning is not disrupted and that children in Okhamandal receive the quality education they deserve.

A special event held in Mithapur marked the completion of the training for 40 local educators, who were recognized for their contributions to shaping the future of children in Okhamandal. These newly trained teachers will now assume roles in local schools, helping to sustain and enhance the region’s educational standards.

The event was attended by Pabubha Manek, Honorable MLA of Devbhumi Dwarka, Lunabha Sumaniya, Chairman of the District Education Committee, and other notable dignitaries including Hemant Suva, Taluka Primary Education Officer, Devisingbha Hathal, President of Taluka Panchayat, and Vanrajbha Tharyabha Manek, Chairman of the District Health Committee.

The initiative was carried out with vital support from the District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) and the District Education Officer (DEO).
