Tata AutoComp Systems Limited showcased its locally developed automotive solutions at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The company highlighted key components, such as EV battery packs, chargers, and powertrain solutions, underscoring its commitment to strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and featured products from the company’s 18 business units, including nine joint ventures with global manufacturers. Tata AutoComp emphasized its achievements in localizing vital electric vehicle components, including the full domestic production of battery packs and management systems.

Arvind Goel, Vice Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems, spoke about the company’s role in India’s sustainable mobility transition through innovation and research. He pointed out the ongoing industry transformation driven by electrification, hybridization, and advancements in software-integrated vehicles.

The company has also extended its expertise beyond automotive components into the railway sector, contributing to the Vande Bharat train project. This diversification marks a significant milestone as Tata AutoComp celebrates its third decade of operations, having served diverse sectors such as passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and off-road machinery.

Founded in 1995, Tata AutoComp Systems is a key manufacturing arm of the Tata Group. The company’s strategic efforts align with government initiatives such as FAME-III and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes, which aim to enhance domestic manufacturing in the automotive sector.

India’s automotive component industry is experiencing rapid growth, driven by increasing vehicle production and the government’s push for greater localization. Significant investments are being made in research and development, especially in electric vehicle technology, as India works toward reducing its reliance on imported components. Tata AutoComp’s focus on workforce development through upskilling initiatives reflects the broader industry trend of equipping employees with the skills needed to meet the demands of emerging automotive technologies, particularly in electric vehicles.
