Tata AutoComp Systems Limited has signed a conditional agreement to acquire 100% ownership of IAC Group (Slovakia) s.r.o. through its UK subsidiary, Artifex Interior Systems Limited. The deal, announced on August 7, 2025, is subject to regulatory approvals before it is finalized.
The acquisition includes IAC Slovakia’s manufacturing facility located in Lozorno, which currently employs around 800 people and recorded revenue of $190 million in FY24. The facility manufactures a wide range of automotive interior and exterior components such as door trims, pillar systems, instrument panels, cockpits, and consoles, catering to top-tier automakers including Jaguar Land Rover and Volkswagen.
Strategically situated near the borders of Czechia, Austria, and Hungary, the plant enhances Artifex’s existing capabilities in technologies such as plastic molding, slush molding, lamination, and precision assembly. Artifex, already part of Tata AutoComp’s global network, operates three production units in the UK across Elmdon, Scunthorpe, and Halewood, and employs around 1,800 people. Its projected revenue for FY25 stands at approximately £400 million, with clients including BMW Mini, Bentley, INEOS, Toyota, and Jaguar Land Rover.
This acquisition is aligned with Tata AutoComp’s strategy to grow its footprint in European markets. Arvind Goel, Vice-Chairman of Tata AutoComp, noted that the addition of IAC Slovakia marks a significant step in the company’s international expansion and will help deepen its presence in Europe. Managing Director and CEO Manoj Kolhatkar emphasized that the integration of IAC Slovakia’s operations with Artifex is expected to generate operational synergies and improved value for customers.
