TAILG, a prominent electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has officially launched its 10th global smart manufacturing base in Hung Yen Province, Vietnam. Covering 40,000 square meters, the new facility boasts an annual production capacity of 350,000 units.
The first batch of TAILG’s long-range electric vehicles has already rolled off the assembly line, positioning the Vietnam base as a central hub for expanding operations across Southeast Asia and accelerating global growth.
The inauguration of the Vietnam manufacturing base on August 12 was attended by local government officials from Hung Yen Province, who expressed strong support for TAILG’s endeavors. The event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Pham Xuan Khoa, Section Chief of the Investment Department at the Hung Yen Industrial Zone Management Committee, and senior leaders from TAILG. Over 300 strategic dealer and supply chain partners were present to celebrate the occasion.
Currently, electric two-wheelers make up only 9% of the market in Vietnam. However, with supportive policies and a transition from fuel to electric vehicles, the market for electric two-wheelers is expected to surpass $8 billion by 2025.
TAILG, a strategic partner of the UN Environment Programme and involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, has been working to advance e-mobility projects globally. The new base in Vietnam, with its favorable location and well-developed infrastructure, will play a crucial role in TAILG’s expansion into Southeast Asia.
The Vietnam facility, as TAILG’s 10th R&D and manufacturing site globally, integrates technology development, intelligent manufacturing, sales, and after-sales services. It will offer high-quality products and support to local consumers and distribution partners, aiming to enhance Vietnam’s electric two-wheeler market.
TAILG has also unveiled a three-year strategic plan to bolster its market presence, which includes collaboration with key clients and a “5+N” empowerment system focusing on branding, products, manufacturing, and channels. As part of its commitment to the UN e-mobility initiative, TAILG will continue to promote clean energy transportation and public welfare projects in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Founded in Shenzhen, China in 2003, TAILG has grown into a diversified company with extensive experience in the electric vehicle industry. With over 1,000 national patents and participation in industry standards, TAILG operates 10 overseas R&D and manufacturing bases, producing over 15 million units annually and serving more than 90 countries.
