Syrma SGS Technology Limited, a leading player in electronics design and manufacturing in India, has officially launched one of its largest integrated electronics manufacturing facilities in Ranjangaon, near Pune. The state-of-the-art plant was inaugurated by key customers and Sandeep Tandon, Executive Chairman of Syrma SGS.
Spanning 26.5 acres, the new campus will eventually feature 1.20 million square feet of manufacturing space. This expansion will boost the company’s PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly operations, focusing on the increasing domestic demand, especially from the automotive and industrial sectors. The first phase, covering over 60,000 square feet, is expected to generate around 1,000 direct jobs.
This facility is part of Syrma SGS’s broader strategy to enhance its production capabilities and maintain leadership in the evolving electronics market. It will complement the company’s existing infrastructure, improving operational efficiency and solidifying Syrma SGS’s position as a major force in advanced electronics manufacturing.
At the inauguration, Sandeep Tandon emphasized the company’s role in driving the electronics industry forward, stating, “Syrma SGS is committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation in electronic design and manufacturing. This facility represents our vision for sustainable growth and industry leadership.”
Addressing the significance of this new venture, Syrma SGS MD JS Gujral highlighted the company’s focus on driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in its operations. “The Pune facility represents a milestone in our journey to support the rapid growth of electronics manufacturing in India. This plant will not only enhance our capacity but also help us deliver high-quality, customized solutions faster to our clients worldwide,” he said.
Mr. Gujral added, “As the ‘Make in India’ initiative gains momentum, our new facility in Pune is poised to seize emerging opportunities and scale our capabilities to meet growing market needs.” Satendra Singh, CEO of Syrma SGS, highlighted that the Pune campus is the company’s first multi-facility complex, designed to cater to a diverse range of sectors on a global scale.
With this new facility, Syrma SGS is expected to strengthen its position in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) sector while creating numerous job opportunities in the Pune region. The company’s continued investments in innovation and infrastructure align with the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative, further boosting the domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
