Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences (SUAS), Indore, in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), successfully organized the ‘ISRO Exhibition 2025 – From Earth to the Stars: India’s Journey in Space’ from August 23 to 25 at the university campus near the Super Corridor, Indore. The exhibition, held to commemorate National Space Day on August 23, was inaugurated in the presence of Prof (Dr) Vinith Kumar Nair, Vice-Chancellor, Dr Durgesh Mishra, Dr Manish Jha, Registrar, along with senior ISRO scientists including Ravi Kumar Verma, Dinesh Kumar Agrawal, and Shalini Gangele.
The event showcased India’s achievements in space research, including models of iconic missions such as Chandrayaan-1, Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3, Mangalyaan, Aryabhata, Bhaskara, Gaganyaan, PSLV, and GSLV. A major highlight was the ‘Space on Wheels’ display, which presented ISRO’s innovations to the public in an interactive format.
More than 10,000 students, teachers, professionals, and science enthusiasts visited the exhibition over three days. Visitors also took part in competitions such as Poster Making, Rangoli, Quiz, Debate, Idea Hackathon, and Science Model Exhibition. Supported by professional bodies including IIC, IEI, and IEEE, the event was free and open to all age groups.
Addressing the gathering, Prof (Dr) Vinith Kumar Nair said the exhibition brought ISRO’s journey to Indore, enabling students to directly experience India’s advances in space science. ISRO scientists also highlighted milestones like the success of Chandrayaan-3, the role of space technology in daily life, and the importance of women’s contributions to the organization.
The valedictory ceremony on August 25 was led by Dr Manish Jha, Registrar, who emphasized the role of such initiatives in fostering innovation and scientific temperament among youth. Winners of various contests were felicitated, with students from schools including Ekanaya, Ryan International, and DPS receiving recognition. Coordinated under the leadership of Dr Durgesh Mishra, the three-day exhibition not only celebrated India’s space achievements but also inspired the next generation to explore science, technology, and innovation.
ISRO, under the Department of Space, will continue to lead in developing infrastructure for advanced technology demonstrations. National Space Meet 2.0 reaffirmed ISRO’s mission of reimagining governance through space—placing citizens at the center, enabling resilience, and contributing to India’s rise as a global space leader by 2040.
