Suzlon Group, the largest renewable energy solutions provider in India, announced its financial results for the second quarter of FY25, which ended on September 30, 2024. Vice Chairman Girish Tanti expressed confidence in the company’s solid foundation, highlighting recent enhancements to the leadership team, product stability, increased manufacturing capacity, improved project execution, and a strong order book. He noted that as the renewable energy sector advances, Suzlon is leveraging new opportunities aligned with its strategic goals, aided by collaboration with a leading global management consulting firm for guidance on future growth.
CEO JP Chalasani emphasized the long-term potential of the business, pointing to the record-high order book and partnerships with notable clients like Jindal and NTPC as indicators of strategic strength and dedication to customer satisfaction. He stated that Suzlon is well-positioned to lead India’s renewable energy transformation, backed by improved industry fundamentals, operational efficiency, and a revitalized supply chain, which are essential for meeting rising project execution demands.
CFO Himanshu Mody acknowledged the challenges posed by extended heavy monsoons but stated that the company achieved consistent growth with strong margins, resulting in a 96% year-over-year profit increase. He emphasized long-term investments and strategic measures designed to bolster organizational capabilities and drive sustainable business growth.
Suzlon Group has received several accolades, including the 4th International Climate Summit Award for contributions to decarbonization through green energy, the CII CFO Excellence Award 2023-24 for ‘Excellence in Turnaround’ presented to CFO Himanshu Mody, recognition as the “Great Indian Industry of the Year – Sustainability (Renewable Sector)” at the Great Indian Plant Leaders’ Summit & Awards 2024, and the Karma Award 2024 in ‘The Vanguard’ category for innovation in CSR initiatives.
