Suzlon Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to roll out India’s largest green skill development program. This initiative, a tribute to the late Shri Tulsi Tanti and his dedication to Andhra Pradesh, aims to boost green employment opportunities and reduce the skill gap in the renewable energy sector.
Over the next four years, the program will train 12,000 young individuals, including 3,000 women, in wind energy-related fields such as Electrical, Mechanical, Blade Technology, Material Management, Operations & Maintenance, and Land & Liaison. Suzlon will also design curricula for ITI, Diploma, and engineering colleges and collaborate with universities to incorporate cutting-edge global content and research into renewable energy education.
Shri Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT & Human Resources Development, remarked, “Our vision is to create 2 million local jobs within five years, driving entrepreneurship, self-employment, and improved livelihoods for underprivileged families. This program will play a significant role in shaping Andhra Pradesh’s economic future and strengthening India’s position in renewable energy talent.”

Rajendra Mehta, Chief Human Resource Officer of Suzlon, highlighted, “Suzlon will set up ‘Learning Labs’ at five key locations across Andhra Pradesh, offering programs blending classroom instruction with hands-on training. These centers will focus on skill enhancement, training, and job placement, paving the way for a sustainable and skilled workforce to meet future challenges.”
