Surya Roshni Ltd, a prominent manufacturer of lighting products and pipes, announced on January 9 that it has secured a ₹81.47 crore (inclusive of GST) order from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL). According to the company’s regulatory filing, the contract involves the supply of API SL PSL2 LPE-coated line pipes with diameters ranging from 4 to 16 inches for a City Gas Distribution (CGD) project on a pan-India basis. The order is set to be executed within 16 weeks.
In November last year, Surya Roshni had reported securing two significant orders totaling ₹214.68 crore (inclusive of GST). The first contract, valued at ₹106.01 crore, was awarded by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) for the supply of API 5L Grade X 3LPE Coated Line Pipes for use in Rajasthan and Jharkhand. The project is expected to be completed within 40 weeks.
The second order, worth ₹108.67 crore, was received from a domestic client for the supply of food-grade epoxy-coated, spirally welded HSAW MS pipes to be deployed in Madhya Pradesh. This project has a tighter completion timeline of 15 weeks.
Surya Roshni stated in its filing: “The company has secured orders totaling ₹214.68 crore (including GST), comprising ₹106.01 crore from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for API 5L Grade X, 3LPE Coated Line Pipes and ₹108.67 crore from a domestic client for food-grade epoxy-coated spirally welded pipes for Madhya Pradesh.”
