Supreme Power Equipment Ltd (SPEL) has announced the acquisition of a transformer supply contract worth Rs 61 crore from NLC India, a leading public sector organization. The deal, finalized on May 26, 2025, is set to be completed within six months.
This marks the first contract between SPEL and NLC India, a prominent Navratna public sector company under the Ministry of Coal. The project involves the delivery of inverter duty transformers designed to meet NLC India’s specific requirements. These transformers are essential for renewable and thermal power projects, serving as key elements in the conversion and regulation of power for efficient grid integration and reliable distribution.
SPEL’s Chairman and Managing Director, Vee Rajmohan, expressed optimism, stating, “This agreement is just the start of a long-term collaboration with NLC India, and we are dedicated to enhancing this partnership in the future.” He further noted, “This order underscores SPEL’s engineering expertise and strengthens our commitment to becoming a leading partner in India’s power infrastructure development.”
