Supreme Industries has reported a 27.01% decrease in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ending December 2024. Revenue from the Industrial Products segment remained stable at ₹332 crore. The Packaging Products division saw a rise in revenue, reaching ₹399 crore for the quarter, up from ₹354 crore in the previous year. Meanwhile, revenue from the Consumer Products segment saw a slight decline to ₹106 crore, compared to ₹112 crore last year.
The company reported an overall sales volume of 1,62,733 MT by the end of the quarter, marking a 3% year-on-year growth and an 18% increase from the September 2024 quarter. In its earnings update, Supreme Industries highlighted that the plastic pipe systems business continues to face challenges due to unfavorable PVC resin pricing and weaker-than-expected demand from the infrastructure sector.
Management noted that international PVC prices have stabilized at lower levels, and local manufacturers are aligning their prices closer to the import parity. Revenue from the Industrial Products segment remained unchanged at ₹332 crore.
Supreme Industries also discussed ongoing developments in various business areas. The Plastic Pipe Systems division continues to be affected by volatile PVC prices, but the company remains optimistic about demand growth in sectors like agriculture and housing in the coming quarter. The company expects an overall volume growth of 3% to 4% for the plastic pipe systems business this year, driven by ongoing capacity expansions.
The company’s other business segments are also progressing, with notable growth in the Cross Laminated Film division, which anticipates a 20% increase in volume and improved profitability. The Industrial Component division is seeing a recovery in demand from home appliances and white goods sectors, while the Material Handling division focuses on expanding its product range and manufacturing locations.
Supreme Industries is investing heavily in expansion, with a capex commitment of around ₹1,500 crore, of which ₹718 crore has already been spent in the first nine months of the fiscal year. The company plans to fund this expansion entirely from internal accruals. Supreme Industries, a leading manufacturer of plastic products in India, operates 30 advanced manufacturing facilities across the country and continues to strengthen its distribution network, providing training and support to ensure efficient service to customers.
