Supreme Industries Ltd, India’s largest manufacturer of plastic piping systems, has officially completed the acquisition of the India pipes and fittings business of Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure unit, Wavin. The deal, valued at USD 30 million plus working capital adjustments, was finalized on July 31, 2025, after completing all due diligence and securing regulatory approvals. In parallel, a long-term technology licensing agreement has also commenced, granting Supreme access to Wavin’s full suite of advanced solutions for water infrastructure applications.

The transaction provides Supreme with full ownership of Wavin’s Indian manufacturing units in Banmore (Madhya Pradesh), Hyderabad (Telangana), and Neemrana (Rajasthan). It also gives Supreme exclusive rights to market and scale Wavin’s technologies across India and neighboring SAARC countries. This strategic move is expected to strengthen Supreme’s position in key segments including residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural water systems. The technology licensing agreement includes fixed payments and royalties, ensuring ongoing collaboration between the two companies.

MP Taparia, Managing Director of Supreme Industries, stated, “This partnership marks a major step in our growth journey. Wavin’s technologies perfectly complement our scale and presence. Together, we aim to address the critical needs of India’s evolving infrastructure landscape with high-quality and sustainable water management solutions.”

Sameer Bharadwaj, CEO of Orbia, added, “This is more than a business transaction—it’s the start of a powerful collaboration. By blending Wavin’s innovation with Supreme’s reach, we’re helping build a stronger, more resilient water infrastructure across the region.”

All of Wavin’s India-based operations and employees have now officially moved under Supreme’s ownership, ensuring business continuity and a seamless transition for customers and partners. Meanwhile, Orbia Wavin will continue investing in its Technology & Innovation Center in India, which remains under Orbia, focusing on next-generation water solutions for global markets. This move is in line with Orbia’s broader strategic priorities: driving sustainable growth, forging strong regional partnerships, and expanding the real-world impact of its water technologies.

Supreme, India’s top manufacturer of plastic products, specializes in pipes, fittings, and water storage solutions. With a strong nationwide manufacturing presence and plans to expand capacity to 900,000 metric tons per year by March 2025, Supreme plays a key role in India’s infrastructure growth, providing innovative and dependable products across various sectors.
