SunSure Energy Commissions Sixth Open Access Solar Project in Uttar Pradesh

SunSure Energy has successfully launched its sixth open access solar project in Uttar Pradesh with a new 49 MWp facility in Augasi, Banda. This milestone brings SunSure’s commissioned open access solar capacity in the state to over 160 MWp, having added more than 100 MWp within the past year.

The company’s total portfolio in Uttar Pradesh now includes 270 MWp of solar projects, at various stages of development, located in Agra, Banda, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Unnao. This latest project is expected to offset around 1.3 million tons of CO2 emissions over its lifespan, supporting Uttar Pradesh’s transition to green energy.

SunSure Energy now supplies green power to over 20 major clients in the state, including Wonder Cement, Inox Air Products, Kajaria, Dabur, and Orient Bell. According to Shashank Sharma, SunSure’s founder and CEO, the company holds a 25% share of Uttar Pradesh’s 600 MW renewable energy market, serving a diverse client base that spans industries like data centers, electronics, FMCG, and cement.
