SunSource Energy, a division of Dutch multinational SHV Energy, has announced the completion of three solar power plants in Uttar Pradesh (UP). These plants, situated across 150 acres in Jhansi and Lalitpur districts, have a combined capacity of 45 MWp. The projects have signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with clients from various industries.
“Collectively, these projects are expected to generate 1.5 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of solar energy and offset up to 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 emissions over their operational lifetimes,” stated SunSource Energy.
The solar power generated will cater to the clean energy needs of several prominent clients, including a major media conglomerate, a leading data center, an educational institute, and top global beverage companies.

CEO Santanu Guha expressed, “With these projects, we have expanded our footprint in Uttar Pradesh and look forward to collaborating closely with industries and government bodies to advance the state’s clean energy goals.”
With these additions, SunSource Energy now operates six open-access solar projects in Uttar Pradesh and has four more in development. This brings their total operational capacity in the state to nearly 100 MWDC. Last year, the company also commissioned three solar projects in Bijnor district.
Headquartered in Delhi NCR, SunSource Energy specializes in providing solar energy and storage solutions to commercial and industrial customers, managing the entire lifecycle of solar power projects.
