Sun Drops Energia, a wholly owned arm of KPI Green Energy, has been awarded a 100 megawatt solar power project by Avichal Power Private Limited in Gujarat. This marks the second major order from Avichal Power, reaffirming their confidence in Sun Drops Energia’s project delivery and technical capabilities.
The solar project will be delivered in multiple stages, with final commissioning expected in the financial year 2026–27. Under a turnkey contract, Sun Drops Energia will manage the full execution—from engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) to long-term operations and maintenance of the facility.
As part of the agreement, Sun Drops Energia will provide and install module mounting structures, supply all balance-of-plant (BoP) materials, and carry out civil, electrical, structural, and instrumentation work. The company will also ensure seamless performance of the plant throughout its operational life, taking full responsibility for its upkeep.
In a regulatory clarification, the company confirmed that the project involves no related party transactions. Avichal Power is an independent domestic entity, and there is no promoter or group company interest connected to the award, ensuring transparency and compliance.
The new project win comes on the back of impressive financial results from KPI Green Energy. The company posted a more than two-fold jump in net profit for Q4 of FY25, reaching ₹104.18 crore, compared to ₹43.04 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenues also saw a 97% year-on-year growth, climbing to ₹577.80 crore from ₹292.96 crore in Q4 FY24.
