Suman Mishra has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Mahindra Electric Mobility Limited (MEML), a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, with effect from August 14, 2021. She will succeed Mahesh Babu, the current Managing Director and CEO of MEML, who has chosen to pursue opportunities outside of the Mahindra Group. Mishra worked at Cipla and McKinsey before joining the Mahindra Group.
Mahindra Group appoints Suman Mishra as the Chief Executive of MEML, who will be succeeding Mahesh Babu. She will also be the Chief Executive Designate for MEML's Last Mile Mobility (LMM) division, in addition to her full-time responsibility at MEML. She will leave her current position as Senior Vice President, Automotive Sector, Business Transformation, Insights and Analytics (BIA). She will be reporting to Rajesh Jejurikar, Mahindra and Mahindra's Executive Director, Auto and Farm Sectors.
Suman Mishra has 20 years of global expertise in sales, manufacturing, purchasing, products, prices, and supply chain strategy and end-to-end performance transformation. She joined the Mahindra Group in 2015 as Senior Vice President, Group Strategy Office, where she was responsible for developing and implementing strategies in the automotive, agribusiness, hotel, real estate, and electric vehicle sectors.

He told that Mahindra Group has a thorough strategy in place to capitalise on prospects in Last-Mile Mobility and the introduction of their Born EV platform, and electric mobility is a significant emphasis area. Rajesh informed that Mahesh joined Mahindra in 1998 and has made major contributions to the company over the previous 22 years, first in Auto Product Development and subsequently as CEO of Mahindra Electric. Suman Mishra worked for Cipla and McKinsey before joining the Mahindra Group, where she oversaw performance transformations and business turnarounds across numerous enterprises. Mishra holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business and a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from NTU Singapore.
