NORD DRIVESYSTEMS introduces the NORDAC PRO SK 500P, a versatile frequency inverter designed to meet the demands of various drive applications within a compact, book-sized format. This advanced inverter, available in power ranges from 0.25 to 22 kW, is engineered to simplify control cabinet configurations across multiple industries by reducing the number of inverter variants required.

Seamless Integration Across Networks
A key feature of the NORDAC PRO inverters is the integrated multi-protocol Ethernet interface, which allows the control component to be easily integrated into various network systems without additional modifications. The inverter supports Profinet, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and POWERLINK protocols, with additional protocols available depending on the specific model. A built-in USB interface also facilitates voltage-free parameterization.
The inverter’s integrated PLC independently responds to process changes, reducing the load on higher-level controls. The POSICON positioning function further enhances the system’s capabilities, enabling it to handle both relative and absolute positioning tasks with either incremental or absolute encoders. Users can even switch between parameter sets to manage the sequential positioning of up to four axes.

The NORDAC PRO SK 500P is designed for a wide range of industry-specific applications. It features vector regulation with a 200% overload reserve, making it ideal for controlling geared motors in heavy-duty or lifting systems. The inverter’s PI controller and integrated compensator also make it well-suited for managing pumps and winding systems. Despite its powerful capabilities, the inverter’s compact design allows for space-saving side-by-side installation in control cabinets.
