During the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024, Sterlite Power marked achievements within its Global Products and Services (GPS) segment by securing new orders totaling approximately Rs 1,400 crore. The company demonstrated its prowess and efficacy in the market by clinching contracts during this period.

Sterlite Power is one of the leading global players in the power transmission and distribution sector, with a presence in India and international markets. With a cumulative order win of around Rs 4,700 crore in the first nine months of FY24, the company specializes in high-performance power conductors, optical ground wire (OPGW), and power cables.

Accumulating a robust cumulative order win of approximately Rs 4,700 crore in the initial nine months of the fiscal year 2024, Sterlite Power has bolstered its standing in the industry. The orders encompass a diverse range, including high-performance power conductors, optical ground wire (OPGW), and power cables from both domestic and international markets.

The company’s proactive engagement in the clean energy landscape is evident through its pivotal role in supporting renewable energy solutions, aligning with the global drive towards achieving net-zero targets and sustainable energy practices.

Notable orders during the third quarter include the supply of conductors and OPGW for major renewable energy evacuation projects, such as the Power Grid Corporation of India’s 765 kV D/c BHADLA III-SIKAR II D/C Line and a 400 kV D/c project in Rajasthan.

In addition to its prowess in conductors, the company anticipates a positive trajectory in the Power Cable segment, supported by key infrastructure projects in renewable power generation, transmission and distribution (T&D) infrastructure expansion, and metro railways.

Sterlite Power has secured orders for supplying cables to pivotal projects, including 110 kV cables for the Mumbai Metro, 220 kV cables for a crucial renewable project in Rajasthan, and cables catering to energy-intensive data centers in Pune.

Expressing contentment with the momentum in supply orders for conductors, OPGW, and power cables, Manish Agarwal, the CEO of the Global Products & Services business, emphasizes that these order wins reflect the growing demand for Sterlite Power’s product offerings in both the Indian and export markets.

As the industry intensifies its focus on decarbonization, the company’s range of high-performance conductors, high voltage (HV) and extra-high voltage (EHV) cables, coupled with specialized engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for cable transmission, continues to make an impact on the ongoing energy transition journey.
