Sotefin Bharat Inaugurates ₹40 Crore Manufacturing Facility for Automated Parking Systems in West Bengal

Sotefin Bharat, the Indian subsidiary of Swiss automated parking technology leader Sotefin SA, has officially launched its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bagnan, located in West Bengal’s Howrah district. The plant, built with an investment of approximately ₹40 crore, marks a significant step in expanding the company’s footprint in India and strengthening local production capabilities.

The facility was inaugurated by Swiss Ambassador to India, Her Excellency Maya JaoudhariT issafi, in the presence of senior dignitaries and company leadership. Designed to meet the growing demand for smart urban parking, the plant is expected to produce systems capable of supporting over 10,000 automated car parking spaces annually, or around 25 major projects each year. It is also projected to generate more than 100 jobs in the region.

“Sotefin Bharat is committed to driving innovation in mobility infrastructure while supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative,” said Arup Choudhuri, Managing Director & CEO. “This facility will significantly boost our manufacturing capacity and operational reach.” The company has also begun exporting its automated parking systems to the USA and Dubai. “With an order book of ₹1,000 crore, we foresee a 50–60% growth trajectory over the next 3–4 years,” added Executive Director Jignesh Sanghvi.
